MEET THE OWNER

BEN NEALE

Ben Neale, owner of our farm-to-table beef business, was raised on a small farm in middle Tennessee, instilling in him a lifelong connection to the land and community. He has expertly grown the family enterprise into a comprehensive operation that includes a cow-calf herd, a USDA-inspected processing facility (handling cattle, pigs, sheep, and goats), and our retail butcher shop, proudly serving the local community. As a respected leader in the industry, Ben is equally dedicated to the well-being of his employees and to making a positive impact on the community through initiatives supporting special needs children, autism awareness, and sober living organizations.
LIGHT HILL MEATS USES

CLEAN INGREDIENTS

Light Hill Meats is not just your neighborhood butcher shop; we’re a team of artisans dedicated to excellence.
What sets us apart is our approach. We aren’t here to just move as much product as possible with little regard for quality.

Local vs. USDA

Custom processing is only for meat that you wish to eat at home and is not for sale. USDA-inspected processing is for resale. You cannot do custom processing and sell to others. The cut forms are available below. You can select your cuts or have us help guide you through what would be a possible harvest.

Processing

We still proudly offer custom processing because we believe local farmers deserve a trusted partner who treats their livestock with the same care and respect they do. For many small producers, getting animals processed under USDA inspection is the key to bringing their hard work to market — and that’s where we come in. With our skilled team, transparent process, and unwavering commitment to quality, we help farmers turn their investment into high-quality, retail-ready cuts they can be proud to sell. It’s not just a service — it’s a partnership. And around here, no one does it better.
